Pattern Play Class Day 2

Well, it was amazing for me that I actually got my card made and posted on day 1 of the Pattern Play class. Now I am back to being more like myself and I am getting my card for day 2 up on day 3!! On day 2 we were shown how to change patterned paper using background stamps, embossing and ink. I don't have any background stamps that were bold enough for this technique so I went with a PTI flower set that I have. I will say that stamping individual elements with embossing ink made it very hard to REALLY plot out where each item was going, since I couldn't really see where I had already stamped! It was an adventure!!

Card Details:
Stamp: PTI Rosie Posie
Paper: Pebbles Walnut Grove
CardStock: SU Early Espress, PTI Vintage Cream
Ink: Distress Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade
Misc: Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, PTI Headline Alphabet, Viva Decor Pearl Pen Dark Brown

By the way, I apologize for those annoying lines of stitching running through my text. They didn't use to be there and I am not sure how to get rid of them. If anyone knows, I would love some tips!! Thanks

Hello, Nice to See You Again!

Wow, it has been a looooong time since I have posted! Here is the abbreviated version of why I have been gone so long - My husband got PCS orders so we were going to be leaving Alaska. First we needed to sell our house and apparently people who are looking to buy a house don't want to see all of my stuff all over the place! So, I packed everything up and had no access to all of my stamping goodies. Then, we sold the house (YAY!) and moved across the county. We stopped and visited family along the way, and now are nicely settled in the new place......I have been stamping again for the last couple of months but the pictures of the cards I made never seemed to make it off of the camera! The thing that has finally motivated me to get them on my blog again is I am taking my first Online Card Class.

Today was the first day of the Pattern Play class and I wanted to link to the cards I made! The stamp is from Simon Says Stamp and is called Furry Cat & Box. In the first card I colored it up to look like my kitty Snickers and in the second I just made it a cute grey tabby! The second card is part of a stack I am making to send to Operation Write Home.

Thanks so much for stopping by! It was so nice to see you again! :)Traci
