All That Scraps Spring Bling

Hey there! How are you? Did you know that there is a new challenge at the All That Scraps challenge blog every Wednesday? This week's challenge is called "Spring Bling" and I decided to use one of the cute little pixies from the new Swiss Pixie Kit #1 (the fence, flowers, butterflies and sentient are all from the kit, too!)

The Details:
Stamps: Swiss Pixie Kit #1 (All That Scraps)
Paper: Basic Grey, Orchid Opulence (SU), White (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Walnut Distress Ink
Copics:

Sidhe Makes Me Happy!

Why, hello! It feels like ages since I've been here....sorry about that. I have been working on a few things I can't show you yet, and the rest wasn't worth showing you (in fact they were downright embarrassing!)! I was getting seriously bummed about it! But yesterday I sat down to make my card for this week's All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge (which is a sketch challenge this week), and I was so pleased with it! Ginger has totally lifted my spirits! (And just in case you are wondering what in the world my title means, Sidhe is pronounced Shee and basically means Faerie!)

All of those layers in the sketch seemed a bit intimidating at first, but once I picked my papers it was easy because they all came from the same line so coordinating wasn't a problem. I paper pieced her dress and the mushrooms from some of the DP. Her wings were stamped separately on vellum and coated in Stardust Stickles. I didn't have a sentiment small enough that said what I wanted so I just hand wrote my sentiment this time. I was so thrilled that the Sugraplum stump fit Ginger perfectly, too!

The Details:
Stamps: Ginger (Sweet November), Sugarplums Stump (CC Designs) - both All That Scraps
Paper: My Minds Eye, Vellum, Chocolate Chip (SU), White (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Walnut Distress Ink
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20
Hair and Stump: E21,E25,E27,E29
Clothes: YR00,YR14
Mushroom Stem: E50,E53,E55
Misc: Stardust Stickles. Brads (SU)

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you will join us in the ATS challenge this week! There is always a prize offered and all you have to do is use stamps sold at All That Scraps (and there are TONS of different brands they carry) to make your challenge card, then upload it using the Mr Linky at the ATS Wednesday Challenge Blog!

Good Luck!

She's Got a Lot of Booty!

Hello! It's good to be back! It feels like I have been gone forever...I did get a lot of organizing done, although there is a lot more that needs done. Spring break is over, though, so I'll have to just do the little bits that I can for now. Maybe when summer vacation starts I can tackle some more big projects.

I have made a card today using Caribbean Treasure from ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection (sheet 10, plate 36). I saw her in my head as a dark skinned beauty ruling the seas with her band of pirate henchmen! The treasure chest was especially fun to play with. I used a combination of liquid pearls and different colored stickles for the treasure. I think next time I will add a few seed beads to the mix as well.

The Details:
Stamp: Carribean Treasure - ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection (sheet 10, plate 36) Sweeet Pea Stamps
Paper: Creative Imagination, Chocolate Chip (SU), White (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Walnut Distress Ink
Copics:
Skin: E25,E27,E29,R22
Hair: C5,C7,C9,110
Clothes: YG03 w/Rv00 over it, YG95,YG97,YG99,B32,B34,B39
Background: B32,W0,W1,W3,W5
Treasure Chest: E74,E77,E79, Y21,Y26,Y28
Misc: Stickles - (Golden Rod, Burgundy, Lime Green), Scallop Border Punch (SU), Ribbon (SU), Esspresso Dimensional Pearls, Martha Stewart Skull and Crossbones punch.

I hope your day is magical!

Unregrettable Pirate Life

I have a confession - I am not much of a housekeper! On top of that, I have really been ignoring things that need done in favor of stamping......so I made myself leave my craft supplies alone today (and will probably stay away from them tomorrow, too, because I still have lots to do!) Luckily I had this card made up.

This gorgeous stamp is Unregrettable Pirate Life from ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection (sheet 10, Plate 36). I pulled almost every color that I colored her with from the colors in the DP. For a little extra interest I used a lot of brads on some strips of brown cardstock and put them diagonally on two corners of the background. I was hoping it would give the impression of the studded leather or wood that you might find on a treasure chest!

The Details:
Stamp: Unregrettable Pirate Life - ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection (sheet 10, plate36) - Sweet Pea Stamps
Paper: Creative Imaginations, Chocolate Chip (SU), White (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:
Skin:R00,E00,E11,E13,R20
Hair:E50,E53,E55
Clothes:E55,E57,E59,YR15,YR16,YR18,W0,W1,W3
Background:BG10,BG11,BG13,E50,Y21,Y26,Y28
Misc: Gold Brads (SU), Gold Gel Pen

I hope your day is magical! (Wish me lots of cleaning and organizing willpower, please!)

Good Luck Fairies

Hello! I can't believe it is Wednesday already! Time flies by when you are on vacation!! Since it is Wednesday, that means we have another challenge for you at the All That Scraps Challenge Blog. This week it is to make a St Patrick's Day card (like you couldn't tell with all of the green and shamrocks on my card!!) I decided to play with some of my favorite little ladies from the Sweet November Fairy Sweets line. My brother's birthday is the day after St Patrick's Day and I think I am going to give him this as a birthday card, wishing him lots of luck in the coming year. He is a complete Romantic, loves all things magical and really has a soft spot for red-heads, so this should be perfect for him, even though it is an unconventional birthday card!

The Details:
Stamps:Tangle Goblinshimmer, Fidget Goblinspider, Mistletoe Snowhill - all Sweet November stamps through All That Scraps
Paper: Basic Grey Origins, Classic Yellow Green, Frosted kiwi (both Prisma), White (Paper Trey Ink)

Mad About You...

Hiya! Today I get to go see Alice In Wonderland! I hope I have not built it up in my head so much that I am disappointed....In the meantime, I have been having a blast playing in the challenges that the Oh Alice blog has each weekend. This week's was a color challenge - Red, Purple and Blue - inspired by the O.P.I. fingernail polish collection "Wonderland".

I have actually been playing around with this card for several days. I was so thrilled with my Hatter when I finished him, but I feel like I need a re-do on the rest of the card! Oh, well... I made the Hatter by combining the head of Twisted Tea (a digi from The Greeting Farm) with the upper body of the Anya from the Showtime set (I did keep Twisted Tea's tie, though). I drew some new legs for him. (I did this by cutting out the upper body I was going to use, then tracing it on my cardstock as reference lines so I knew where the pants should start. Once the pants were drawn and colored I cut them out and glued them under the upper body.) I also cut off some of Twisted Tea's hair and gave him the Hatter's hat from the Wonderland set. I tried to give him the hat from Showtime but it was too small to cover Twisted Tea's teacup! I made the background with the teacup from the Wonderland set (I am lucky enough to have the rubber version, but it has been re-released in digi! It is such a great set with the CUTEST rabbit and accessories!)

The Details:
Stamps: Twisted Tea (digi), Showtime, Wonderland - all
The Greeting Farm, sentiment - Sassy Studio Designs
Paper: Real Red, Elegant Eggplant, Pacific Point (SU), White (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:

Red Queen

Hello! I hope this is the beginning of a great week for you. My daughter and I are on Spring Break this week, so hopefully I will get several projects around the house completed and do a lot of crafting! To start the week off, I have made a card for the Farm Fresh Friday challenge over at The Greeting Farm, which was to make an "Alice" inspired card. I decided to turn the new digi "Royal Pain" into the Red Queen by giving her Princess Anya's body!

The Details:
Stamps: Royal Pain (digi), Princess Anya - both The Greeting Farm, Sentiment (digi) - Sassy Studio Designs
Paper: My Mind's Eye, Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White (SU), White for image (Paper Trey Ink)

Masked Fairy In Green (Or Rust and Brown)...

Hello! Today I have made a card using the gorgeous Masked Fairy in Green from ching-chou kuiks Fantasy Art Collection (sheet 9 plate 33). I have colored her with Copics and given her a little sparkle on her wings with a Clear Spica glitter pen, on her jewelry with a Gold Spica glitter pen, and on her mask with Stardust Stickles. I did a little ink distressing around the edges of the Designer Paper and added some faux stitching. For the final touch I used Golden Brown Scribbles 3D paint to make little faux pearls around the edges of the picture. The Scribbles paint did not settle into as pretty of a pearl shape as Liquid Pearls seems to, but it's what I had in brown! One trick I have learned is to tap the underside of your cardstock after you apply paint to be faux pearls. It helps it "settle" so you don't have those Dairy Queen ice cream cone tops on the tip!

The Details:
Stamp: Masked Fairy In Green - ching-chou Kuik's Fantasy Art Collection - Sweet Pea Stamps
Paper: My Mind's Eye, Dark Chocolate, White (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Walnut Stain Distress Ink
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,E13,R20
Hair:E02,E07,E08,E18
Dress:R02,R05,R08,E07,E44,E47,E49
Wings: Y17,YR15,YR16,YR18,E07
Mask and Background: YG21,YG23,YG25,BG10,BG11,BG32,BG13
Misc: Spellbinders Nestabilities Scalloped Rectangle, Golden Brown Scribbles 3D Paint, Atyou Spica glitter pens in Clear and Gold, Stardust Stickles.

I hope you have a Magical Day!

Fluttering Butterflies

Hello! Today I get to show you a new release form ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection called Fluttering Butterflies! She will be available to order tomorrow, the 5th, and will start shipping on the 10th of March.

She was so much fun to color (as are all of ching-chou kuik's gorgeous stamps). I used some of the new My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary Designer Paper and it is Yummy! I don't know how easy it is to see, but the pink border on the bottom (which was cut from the butterfly paper - it is a die cut edge paper) is the bottom of my card. The green polka dot paper is decorating the inside of the card and peeking out to the outside. I used some Stardust Stickles on her wings, gold Liquid Pearls on the photo corners, and a Martha Stewart butterfly punch.

The Details:
Stamp: Fluttering Butterflies - ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection (sheet 11, Plate 38) - Sweet Pea Stamps
Paper: My Mind's Eye - Quite Contrary, Birchtone Dark (Prism), White (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Walnut Distress Ink
Copics:
Skin:R00,E00,E11,E13,R20
Hair: E43,E44,E47,E49
Background: E50,E53,E55
Clothes and Wings: R81,R83,R85,R89,G12
Butterflies:G12,G24,G29
Misc: Stardust Stickles, Martha Stewart Butterflies Punch, Gold Liquid Pearls, Photo Corner Punch (Stampin Up), Ribbon (SU), Corner Rounder (SU)

Fantasy Easter Ocean

Hello! Today I want to show you a card I made using Easter Ocean from ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection (sheet 8, Plate 30). I was so excited when Lynette from Sweet Pea showed us a scan and told us she was going to be made into rubber. I love her sweet little bunnies and thought she would make the cutest Easter cards (and now that the "Alice" movie is coming out I am having ideas for some "Wonderful" other ways to use her!!) I made this one with Easter in mind though. I tried my hand at pleats with my ribbon in the background. The grass and the bunnies are Martha Stewart punches. The two bunnies are actually the same punch, I just stood one up!

The Details:
Stamp: Fantaasy Easter Ocean - ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection - Sweet Pea Stamps
Paper: Basic Grey, White (Paper Trey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo black, Pretty Petunia, Aegean Blue (Versamagic)
Copics:
