Trick-or-Treating With Anya and the Gang

Hi! When I started this card I meant to use the sketch posted on The Greeting Farm blog for Farm Fresh Friday last week. I loved how Kim Nath turned the big circle element on the sketch into the moon (on her card HERE ) and so I blatantly copied that! But then, because I wanted to put at least 3 trick-or-treaters on the card I left myself no room for the other elements from the sketch!
For the moon I used one of my circle nestabilities as a mask and sponged a little Bodering Blue, then covered that with VeraMark ink and embossed with clear. Then I sponged around that with Taken With Teal, Night of Navy and Elegant Eggplant (all craft ink - I seem to have better luck sponging with Craft ink). The bats are from an EK Sucess punch. The frame is popped up, then my trick-or-treaters (I like to think of big Sis Anya dressing up and taking the little one's out for candy!) are popped up and layered on top of that. Anya's dress is covered with Star Dust stickels, and the treat bags are pieces of candy corn cut from the DP with thread handles added and faces drawn on.

The Details:
Stamps: Princess Anya, Witch from Spooktacular, Lion from Wild Things - The Greeting Farm
Paper: K&Co, Elegant Eggplant - Su, PTI white
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,R20,E11
Hair (all 3):E11,E13,E15,E18
Dress:Y11,Y15,Y17,YR21,YR15,YR18
Witch:YR21,YR15,YR18
Lion: Y21,Y23,Y26,E44,E47,E49

Happy Friday!

Bring on the weekend!! Ha! This week has actually kind of flown by....I have two more cards to show you today and once again there is NO coloring. I don't know what has gotten into me....I'm sure I'll color some this weekend!

My first card is the final card I did for the Viva la Verve challenge on SCS. This one was also a sketch challenge, but the twist was to use your favorite color combo. (There is ALWAYS a twist with the VLV challenges!) My current favorite color is orange, orange, orange! I really love it with brown and light blue (like Baja Breeze) but since one of my other VLV cards used that combo (plus some Kiwi) I changed the Baja to Taken With Teal.

Details:
Stamp: Beautiful You - Verve
Paper: My Minds Eye, Pumpkin Pie, Choc Chip, Taken With Teal, Whisper White-SU
Ink:Choc Chip Craft, Creamy Caramel Craft, Close to Cocoa Craft
Misc: Brads-Basic Grey, EK Success Border Punch

My second card is another card that I made for my Father-in-Law to give to his friends as thank you cards. I used one of the MojoMonday sketches from last week when they were doing their week long celebration of turning 100! They have some of THE Best sketches!

The Details:
Stamps: Upsy Daisy - SU
Paper: Enchante' (Retired SU), Mellow Moss, Choc Chip, Very Vanilla
Ink: Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Choc Chip Craft
Misc: Clear Embossing Powder, SU Scallop Border Punch, SU Ribbon, Large Eyelet

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Viva la Verve!

Hi! I have 3 cards to show you today! I am a pretty slow card maker and I usually only manage pne a day (if that!) so I am thrilled I finished 3 today! I know I am coming late to the party but I am just discovering Verve stamps! I have recently been just drooling over several bloggers cards who used Verve images and decided I had to try a few.(And boy, is their shipping fast!) Then I discovered the Verve challenge Viva La Verve on SCS, and I had to give it a try, too! I guess once a week a new challenge is issued and you have until the end of the month to finish all four cards and enter to win the next months releases.....Tomorrow is the deadline, and like I said I got 3 done today! Hopefully I can make the last one tomorrow!

So, the first challenge was to pick a card by one of the Verve Diva's and CASE it. The twist was if they used patterned paper you had to use card stock and vice-versa. I picked THIS CARD by Susan Liles. I really liked how she had used the balloon image 3 times and the bright happy colors she picked. I decided to go the opposite way with the color scheme and make mine black and white (and shades of gray). The balloons and sentiment are from the set Party Time. Susan used patterned paper for her background so I used card stock but stamped the dots with Verve's Bountiful Backgrounds. The other background panels are dry embossed, then I put silver stickles on for emphasis. I did used Copics on the balloons - C0,C1,C3,C5,C7,C9.

The second challenge was a sketch challenge with the added twist that you had to use a border punch in some way. I have to admit I feel a bit guilty that I didn't do anything more creative with the edge punch, but I had a lot of fun making the latte! I used liquid applique for hte foam - that is SO fun to watch it puff up! the stamp set is Delightful & Delicious and the DP is all Cosmo Cricket.

The third challenge was another sketch challenge with the added twist of "Use a Tag". I did a lot of piercing and a little embossing - pretty straightforward. The tag sentiment is from the Bountiful Backgrounds set and the main sentiment is from Beautiful You. The DP is SU - Pink Flamingo. I think I may end up giving this to my daughter's Principal on his birthday.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope your day is fantastic!!

A Very Late Farm Fresh Friday Card!

Boy, I can not seem to find the time to do all of the stamping that I want to do (hence the very last minute Farm Fresh Friday card!) Last weeks Farm Fresh Friday challenge (from The Greeting Farm blog) was this sketch by Jessica (I just love it when it's a sketch by Jessica!!) :
I have really been trying to use some older papers that I bought and never used (even though I really liked them!) so this is from a retired SU pack called Good Morning Sunshine. I also had never inked this adorable turtle and bunny up, so I played with them too! This is another card to go to my Father-in-Law who wants Thank You cards to give to his friends.

The Details:
Stamp: Down By The Farm - The Greeting Farm
Paper: Good Morning Sunshine - SU, Kiwi Kiss, Choc CHip - SU, PTI White
Copics:
Turtle:
Body: YG03,YG17, With W0 over both because it was way too bright
Shell:YG95,YG97,E47,E49
Flower:Y11,Y15,Y17
Carrot:Y17,Y38
Bunny: W0,W1,R00,R02
Shadows:C0,C1,C3

A Mojo Monday Thank You!

For today I used a sketch from Mojo Monday (even though it was one of last weeks sketches!) I have been admiring their sketches for a while and since I needed to make some more Thank You cards for my Father-in-Law, this seemed like the perfect time to play along. The sketch was from Day 4 of their Anniversary celebration and can be found HERE. This is my second card in two weeks with no Copic coloring. Boy, does that feel weird after 7 months or so of coloring everything!! Everything on the card is from Stampin Up (except the Nestabilities used to cut the main image and scallop circle!), although some of it is retired. I have a lot of retired SU paper that I had barely used. I always really liked it, I guess I was saving it for some "great" project or something. Do any of you do that? I am really trying to force myself to use the stuff I love instead of hoarding it!! Anyway, the DP is retired (one of my fave collections!) and the More Mustard ribbon doesn't seem to be in the new catalog either! (Actually I just looked and it wasn't in the previous catalog either! How long ago did I buy that stuff!!?)

Details:
Stamp: Pocket Silhouettes - SU
Paper: Autumn Vine (retired), Really Rust, Choc Chop, Whisper White - SU
Ink: Choc Chip Craft
Misc: Clear Embossing Powder, MM Ribbon (retired), Nesties

Thanks for stopping by today!

Witchy Woman!

Hello! Happy Monday to you! I hope you had a good weekend! Mine was nice and relaxing. I am a home-body, so I love a weekend where I don't HAVE to do anything and can just hang out at home crafting and watching tv or movies!

My card today uses my favorite new Dressy Miss Anya, and I have turned her into a witch! To keep the flower in her hair from being there I covered it with a little piece of post-it-note before inking her up, then pulled it off before stamping. I just had to go back and fill in the missing spaces with my Copic multi-liner. I also cut her out and traced her legs separately so I could draw stripey tights on. (Once the new legs were ready, I cut off the original legs and glued the new ones in their place.) I think stripey tights are a witch must-have! Oh, and I drew a tiny witch hat for her, cut it out and glued it on.

Details:
Stamp: Miss Anya Dressy - The Greeting Farm
Paper: Imaginisce; Basic Black, Whisper White - SU; PTI white
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20
Hair: RV02,RV04,RV06,RV09
Clothes: above + C1,C3,C5,C7,C9
Misc: Martha Stewart Web punch, EK Success Spider punch and Bats punch

It's a Suprise Relay!

Hi! If you are running the "Anya Relay" you should have arrived here from Jacquie's Blog! (If you need to start at the beginning, head on over to Club Anya!)

So, remember when I teased you a couple of days ago that I couldn't show you what I was working on? I was playing with these sweet new athletic Anya's! There are 3 of these new Digi Anya's and you don't even have to wait - they are being released TODAY! The Farmer's Market is also happening today at The Greeting Farm, so it's going to be a Fun Fun day!!

I get to show you Softball Anya (be sure you visit the other DT members on the relay to see the other 2 new Anya's -"Soccer Anya" and "Tennis Anya"!) I used my Nesties to make a baseball diamond. It's all circles and squares, except for the long white lines. Home plate was just like the bases and I snipped off the corners. My DH pointed out that I forgot the pitchers mound and I meant to use a small circle punch to make it, but I forgot before I took the picture!!

Details:
Stamp: Softball Anya (Digi) - The Greeting Farm
Paper: Sunny Glenn - TGF, Basic Black, Really Rust - SU, Georgia Pacific 110 white
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20
Hair: E11,E13,E15,E18
Glove: E21,E25,E27
Clothes: Y11,Y15,Y17,C5,C7,C9

The next stop on our relay is Rosette's blog! And if you haven't been to Club Anya yet today, be sure to stop by and leave a comment, because 3 lucky people (who leave a comment!) will be chosen to win all 3 of the new Digi Anya's!

Good Luck and Happy Hopping!!

Happy Anniversary To Me!! (and my DH too!)

Today is our 20th anniversary! I am very blessed to be married to my best friend (and to be married to a very easy going guy with a lot of patience!) This is the card I made for him (I know it's not a typical romantic card, but trust me, it suits him and US!) I got the stamps form Our Craft Lounge about 2 weeks ago but they are not showing up on the site now. I don't know if they are just sold out and they pull them off of the site when they are out of stock, or what....

I put a few subtle swirls on the main panel before stamping the sentiment and then doing the cracked glass technique, but I think they may be too subtle - they aren't showing up in the picture at all! I also think this may be the first card that I haven't colored with Copics since February (when I got them!!)

The Details:
Stamps: For-bitten - Our Craft Lounge
Paper: Basic Grey; Basic Black, Very Vanilla - SU
Ink: Dew Drops Brilliance Lightning Black, DD VersaMagic Wheat, DDVM Sahara Sand, DDVM Jumbo Java
Misc.: Brads, Martha Stewart Web punch, velvet ribbon from fabric store.

Have a wonderful day!

Another 2 Challenges in 1...Sort of!

Happy Friday! I decided to do 2 challenges in one card again today, and I will show you the finished card first. It combines Rosette's Club Anya challenge for yesterday (use Bling!) with the Christmas Stamping All Year Long challenge for this week which was to make a spotlight card. I've never made a spotlight card before and I don't think I quite had the hang of it. The longer I looked at it the less I liked it and I finally pulled the colored part off (2nd picture). I definitely like it better that way. I think the next time I make a spotlight card I will pick an area more toward the middle to spotlight. So, I don't know if it still counts as two challenges because I pulled the spotlight off of the final card, but I do have a picture of when it had both challenges completed!! (I know it doesn't really matter, I'm just being silly!!) I also used last Fridays Farm Fresh sketch again!

The second picture is a lot darker because it was later in the day when I decided to take off the colored part and I had lost my light!!

The Details:
Stamp: Miss Anya Dressy - The Greeting Farm
Paper: Cosmo Cricket, Handsome Hinter - SU, PTI white
Copics:
C0,C1,C3,C5,C7,C9
On colored image:

Hair:E50,E53,E55,E57

Back to School (Janna's Club Anya Challenge)

Hi! How is your week going so far? Mine is going by too fast. There is only one week left before my daughter goes back to school and I go back to work. I work at her school as a Noon Duty, so I am on the playground with the kids at recess. When Janna posted her "Back to School" challenge on Club Anya on Monday, my mind went to recess! This game, Red Rover, that I used on my card, is one of the things that made me think "I am getting old!" last year!! I LOVED this game as a kid, but when the kids play it on the playground I am constantly worried about their safety!! They seem to just throw their bodies into each other trying to break through that line!! Anyway....(BTW, in case you didn't know, Club Anya is having a week of challenges - there are daily challenge prizes and a HUGE prize for one lucky person who completes all of the challenges! Be sure to check out the details HERE. )

Show Some Anya Spirit !!

Hi! It is day 2 of our Week of Challenges at Club Anya and today is my Challenge day! I started thinking about school starting and one of my daughter's favorite times at school is "Crazy Hair Day" during spirit week, so I decided to make mine a "Crazy Hair Day" challenge. That can be anything from coloring Anya (or Ian's) hair an unusual color, altering the hair, or just doing something unexpected to make"crazy hair"!

I decided to play with eyelets (boy, I have tons of them and don't ever use them anymore!) and some copper jewelry wire. The sentiment is from my stack of rub-ons (retired SU in this case) that I am trying to use now. If you saw my previous post about the old rub-ons that didn't want to adhere and I got you all worried about hoarding the rub-ons you'll be happy to know these went on with no problems!

The Details:
Stamp: Flutterby - The Greeting Farm
Paper: Basic Grey, Night of Navy, Bashful Blue - SU, PTI White
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20

Get Ready For a Week of Challenges!

Because of the big Anya-versary all of the Greeting Farms's August releases were out on the First of the month this time. This means no new Anya's on the 15th, but Club Anya is still going to make it a week of fun by having a new challenge every day!! Be sure to check out the Club Anya Blog to see what today's challenge is! (I don't even know yet! I'll be making my challenge cards along with you!! Well, except for my challenge which you will see tomorrow!!)

My card today is based on the sketch challenge from last Friday at The Greeting Farm (Farm Fresh Friday Challenge).

The Details:
Stamp: Megan - The Greeting Farm
Paper: K&Co, Pink Passion, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black - Stampin Up, PTI White (main image) and Gina K Base weight white

2 Challenges - 2 Cards!!

Hi Everyone!! I did cards for 2 different challenges today so I am going to post both of them!! The first is for the sketch challenge at Lord Have Mercy! I really love her cards and have been enjoying doing her sketches a lot!! And when I found this DP at my LSS I just had to have it to go with 70's Anya!

The details:
Stamps: 70's Anya and Hello Go Rounds - The Greeting Farm
Paper: The Paper Loft, Choc CHip - SU, White - PTI
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20
Hair:E11,E13,E15,E17,E18
Clothes: E25, E27,E29,R00+RV21,R12+RV23,YG11,G12,T0

My second card is for the "I Wanna Be Like...Amy" challenge at Club Anya. I am not actually competing for the prize, because I picked Amy to be our inspiration for the challenge!! But I really like her work and wanted to try my hand at CASE-ing her card. (BTW, if you haven't seen her work you really should - she is amazing!! HERE is her blog!) I have never done a circle card (Crazy, right??) so I was excited to try that. I cheated a bit by making it a pumpkin - I didn't have to cut a nice circle!! Oh, and just FYI - I learned a very valuable lesson - STOP HOARDING!! I am a hoarder! See those rub on swirls? - have had them for several years!! I have a large box of rub-on's that I have had for a long time and hopefully most of them behave better than this one did. About a third of it refused to rub on - I had to draw in lots of parts of it!! I am assuming it is because they are old. Anyway...

The rest of the details:
Stamps: Spooktacular - The Greeting Farm
Paper: K&Co, We Are Memory Keepers, Basic Grey, white - PTI
Misc: Basic Grey Rub On
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20

A Couple of Awards!!!

This first award was designed by the Fabulous OhioMary!!! She made it from a stunning card of hers (you can find out about the creation of the award HERE.) I asked Mary for permission to offer it for everyone who loves The Greeting Farm, because I get such inspiration looking at everyone's creations in the gallery (and whenever we have our fun release parties!) and she very generously agreed! So this is for you!!!

This award was so kindly given to me by the Amazing Kim Nath ( Paper Rocks! (scissors are cool too). Her work is so creative and beautiful. If you have never been to her blog, I highly recommend it!! I am honored that she thought of me. I am going ot pass it on to a few of my favorite bloggers (My list is kind of short - Kim and I apparently visit a lot of the same people and I am trying not to offer it to someone who already got it!!)

Kadie - In My Minds Eye
Janna - Stamps, Paper, and Glitter - Oh My!
Jacquie - Javablustamper
Kristine- Lost in Creativity
Maria - Stampin Inspirations
Joni - A Sticky Situation

Thank you ALL for all of the inspiration and encouragement!!!

My First Christmas Card of the Year!!

Hi Everyone!! I know I haven't been very consistent this week with the posts...I am stamping, but I think I am being a little more detailed than I usually am (or maybe just slower!) The cards are certainly taking a lot longer than usual!!

This week I decided to participate in the Christmas Stamping All Year Long challenge! I thought this was a great idea when I saw this blog, but it has taken me until now to try my hand at it!

The top piece of cardstock (Not Quite Navy) has been distressed with Choc Chip, embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, then a SU white Craft pad was rubbed over the texture. I used an EK Success tree border punch with Choc Chip cardstock in the middle of the card. The trees have liquid applique puffed up on them for snow. The little deer is a Martha Stewart punch, as are the snowflakes popped up in a circle behind Anya. The snowflakes have Star Dust stickles on them!

Other Details:
Stamps: Snow - The Greeting Farm, Sentiment - Retired SU
Paper: Basic Grey Figgy Pudding, Not Quite Navy, Choc Chip - SU, White -PTI
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20
Hair: E21,E25,E27,E29

A Late Start....

Hi! I know it is very late for my first post of the day......I just had one of those days where I didn't feel like doing anything. Now, I don't normally feel like doing housework or things of a "sensible" nature, but I LOVE my hobbies! There are never enough hours in the day for the projects I want to work on, but today.......I just couldn't get up the energy for any of them. I finally took a little time and finished this card that I started this weekend. I am glad I did, because I am pretty happy with it.

It's hard to tell in the photo but she has several layers to her for dimension. In addition to that the frame is popped up on dimensionals and then she is popped up above that. The Photo corners are also popped up.

Other Details:
Stamps: Miss Anya Dressy - The Greeting Farm Swing - Magnolia
Paper: Basic Grey, Rose Red, Old Olive - SU, Pink (?) and White -PTI
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20
