Bend it Like the New Digi Release at TGF!

Hello! I am thrilled to show you the cutest new digi release from The Greeting Farm! It is Soccer Ian! How adorable is he?! He will be available on the 1st of July (along with some other fabulous rubber designs!) The Greeting Farm design team will be celebrating the new release on Wednesday, the 1st with a blog hop called "Flying With the Farm"! All of the details will be on The Greeting Farm Blog on Wednesday. I can't wait to check out all of the fun things they have planned for us!

For the green panel I poked holes using my SU paper piercing guide and then hand stitched through the holes, hoping it would give the impression of a goal net behind him.

For My Step-Father the Fisherman

Hi! How was your weekend? Mine was really good! I went to the Highland Games on Saturday. I stay in our booth too much to see any of the competitions, but I did hear some wonderful music, saw some beautiful works of art and crafts, and saw LOTS of men in kilts!

July has a lot of birthdays for my family. I know I've mentioned it before, but even though I make lots of cards I am terrible about getting them in the mail in time. I am determined to get things to everyone before their birthdays this month! So, my card today is for my step-dad, Don. He loves sports and fishing, so I had a hard time deciding whether to use Baseball Ian or Football Ian or Fisherman Ian (all The Greeting Farm) but since I used Baseball Ian (turned into a girl) for Mother's Day and it's more fishing weather than football weather I went with the Fisherman! (Also, I had this adorable paper from K&Co that I have been dying to use!)

The Details:

Stamp: Fisherman Ian (The Greeting Farm)
DP: K&Co
Cardstock: Stampin Up - Handsome Hunter, Kiwi Kiss, and Old Olive, plus Neenah White
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20

Hi! Happy Friday! I am going to make this another very quick post - the Highland Games are this weekend and I am trying to prepare for them! I really do enjoy the Renaissance Festival and the Highland games. I'm sure it sounds like I am complaining about getting ready for them all of the time, and I don't mean to be. It just takes so much time and energy to prepare for them.

You Go Girl!

Hi! Ok, this is something my 9 year old is more likely to say then me (thank goodness, I can hear you say!) but I still thought it fit this image very well!

I was being VERY lazy and decided that plugging the Cricut in and finding the right cartridge and loading the paper for one letter was just too much trouble so I cut the U out by hand. It's pretty obvious to me, now that's it all glued down and I can't really do anything about it! Oh, well! I'll know better next time!

The Details:
Stamps: Superstar - The Greeting Farm, Sentiment from You Go Girl by The Paper Company Studio
Dp: DCWV
Cardstock: SU and Neenah White

She's Got an Attitude!

Hi! Good Morning! I have been seeing some really cute images by Pollycraft lately and I have been so jealous because I couldn't have them because they don't ship their rubber (or acrylic as the case may be!) to the US. But then Crafty Amy told me that some of their images are available as digital downloads! YAY! There are still some I am in love with that I can't have (yet! I have hopes they will either make them digi or start selling to the US!) but I am happy I can get some of these cuties! This is one of the Cherry Kisses called Attitude!

The Details:

Peaceful Monday

Hello! How was your weekend? Mine was good! It was nice to have my daughter back from camp. We actually had to pick her up a day early from camp because the nurse thought she might have a bladder infection (she wasn't saying that was an emergency, but my daughter was very upset about the way her body was acting and wanted to come home.) The good news is that when we went to the doctor the next day he couldn't find anything wrong. The bad news is she is still feeling like she has to go to the bathroom all of the time (TMI? Sorry!) It is getting better each day, though, she says. On to my card.....

Yesterday I had a very lazy, fun day. This summer I have been renting TV series' that I missed when they aired, and yesterday I was watching the first season of Friday Night Lights and stamping! FUN! I finished a couple of cards and have a couple more half completed, but I forgot to take photos of anything! That's why I am so late posting today!

The details:

Stamp: Peace from The Greeting Farm, sentiment Stampin Up
DP: We Are Memory Keepers
Copics:
Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20
Hair:E21,E25,E27,E29
Clothes: Y08,Y38,R43,R46,V06,BG32,YG25, E25,E27,E29

A Sweet Bundle of Blessing!

Hi! Are you ready for the weekend? I am so ready to have my baby back from camp! (Although, I did take advantage of her being gone to clean her bedroom. And when I say clean, I mean get rid of stuff. She is a huge packrat - she does come by it naturally from both me and her dad! ) In case you are thinking that is awful, I didn't throw anything away that she will miss. Really! I promise!

When I first saw the Oh Baby! set from The Greeting Farm I wondered if I could make one of the Anya's hold one of the babies. (I know I walked around with Ronnie attached to my arm and hip for the first 2 years of her life!) I think it turned out pretty good, although I wish I could have done it without covering up half of Anya's face!

I used Anya from the Dress Me set and cut off one of her arms. I reattached it to the baby girl so it would look like she was holding her. The DP is from My Minds Eye, flowers from Prima, and buttons from Stampin' Up. The buttons are tinted with Copics to better match, and the images are colored with Copics:

Skin:R00,E00,E11,R20
Hair:E50,E53,E55
Baby Clothes: R81,R83,R85, G000, YG21,YG23

Thanks for visiting! I hope your weekend is fabulous!

To My Knight in SHining Armor

Hi! How are you today!? I have spent the day trying to clean my house a little. My house is always a mess because I would rather stamp or sew or knit than clean. Well, we all would, you might say. The problem is I can ignore the mess for a looong time while I do what I want to do instead. It is usually the threat of someone coming over that gets me to work! Luckily, I have a wonderful hubby who never complains about it! In fact in almost 20 years of marriage he has never once complained about the house being messy, or said a word about the huge amount of weight I have gained since we were dating! (He has many other wonderful traits, but I think those deserve a mention!) Anyway, on to my card! It just so happens it is the Father's Day card I made for him. Funny thing is, I thought last Sunday was Father's Day and I gave it to him then! The good thing about that is my Father's Day cards for my Step-dad and Father-in-law will actually be on time this year! (With all of the cards I make, I am always mailing them at the last minute! I don't know why - it's a sickness! :-)

My card today is made with the Knight from Sugar Nellies and the Castle from Doodlefactory. The DP is retired SU, and I used lots of stickles! I colored the images with Copics. I'm sorry, I don't have my usual list of colors today because I was making this on Saturday while he was out shopping and because I thought Sunday was Father's Day I was in a big hurry and I didn't write down the colors as I used them. I'll have the colors listed again on the next card!

Have a wonderful day!

Anya and Ian Paper Dolls

Hi! How is your week so far? Mine is going well. Although I am enjoying my alone time, I miss my daughter. She is a real chatterbox and the house is so quiet without her here. I look forward to picking her up on Friday and hearing all about everything she has done at camp.

As soon as I saw the new Wardrobe 2 for Dress Me Anya and Ian (from The Greeting Farm) I had this idea to make paper dolls. I finally had the chance to work on it today! YAY! I used Velcro dots to put the dolls on the card so that they can be removed, and the clothes change by Velcro also. It did make it hard to get a good picture because the Velcro makes everything stand up like really big pop up dots. In person it's not that bad but in the picture it looks like the clothes cover part of their faces and they really don't.

The DP is from Fancy Pants Designs and I colored everything with Copics:

Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20
Anya's Hair: E02,E08,E09,E18
Ian's Hair: E21,E25,E27,E29
Clothes: Y11,Y15,Y17,YR14,YR16,YR07,R35,R37,R39,G21,G24,YG17,B21,B24,B26,B39

Have a wonderful day!

Baby Boy Teddy Bears!

Hi Everyone! I hope you had a great time at the release party for the new Greeting Farm stamps! I am so sad I wasn't able to make it - it was my weekend to help man the booth at Ren-Faire! (And I had to drop my daughter off at Girl Scout camp - I miss her already!)The faire was a lot of fun and we did really well - I only have one bodice left! I have to get sewing because the Scottish Highland games are in 2 weeks! But in the meantime - I got to stamp today! YAY!

I just had to make another card with Oh Baby from The Greeting Farm (one of the new releases from yesterday!) This set is so cute, with lots of options! Today I decided to just use the Teddy Bear, Duckie and Bottle. One of my friends at Faire asked me to make her a baby boy card, but not too pastel. I know this is a little pastel but I think the red takes it away from that a bit! The DP is some older paper I had in my stash from Melissa Frances, I borrowed a technique I keep seeing and loving on Tori Wild's cards for the sentiment, and it is colored with Copics:

BG11,BG13,BG15,T0,E50,E53,E55,R27,R29,R81

Thanks so much for coming by! It really means a lot to me!

Sneak Peak Day 2 - Oh, Baby!

Hi! So, do you have fun plans for the weekend? This is the last weekend of Re-Faire here, so I will be there all weekend!I may already be listening to Bawdy Pirate songs or watching Bad Shakespeare being performed at the "Tomato Show"! But I am also happy to show you a sneak peak of another new set from The GreetingFarm - Oh, Baby! This set is SO cute! I made my card with the little boy, but there is also an adorable little girl, a teddy bear, duckie, several other accessories and some cute sentiments! I love The Greeting Farm sets because they give you lots of options!

For my first card today I used DP from The Greeting Farm. Although it is not what you would traditionally think of as baby colors, I thought the sweet bunnies would be cute on a baby card! The layout is from a past Mojo Monday sketch challenge. The image is colored with Copics:

Skin: R00,E00,E11,R20
Clothes: BG11,BG72,BG75, Y23,Y26,Y28

My second card uses Baseball Ian, previously a Digi stamp only that will be available in rubber on the 15th! Last week, Marie at The Greeting Farm had a black, white and gray color challenge. I had so much fun doing the challenge that I wanted to play with those colors again! The baseball is from the set Pupstar and I cut the word Dad out with my Cricut!

Now be sure to go see the other DT members who always have something amazing to show!

A Sneak Peak - New Clothes!

Hi Guys! I know I have been very scarce lately - I am really sorry! Believe me, I can't wait to have more stamping and blogging time - next week hopefully! But I am THRILLED to show you a sneak peak of a new Anya and Ian set from The Greeting Farm. This one is called Wardrobe 2, and just like it sounds, it is new clothes and accessories for the Dress Me Anya and Ian set! In addition to the cute summery clothes, this set has sunglasses, some cute bags, and an ice cream cone! What fun!

For my card I used DP from DCWV and I put stickles all over their sno-cones! I colored them with Copics, like always!

Skin:R00,E11,E13,R20,R22
Anya's Hair: E50,E53,E55,E57
Ian's Hair:E21,E25,E27,E29

A Black and White Challenge at the Farm!

Hello! I feel like I've been gone for ages! I had a great time at Encampment! Our girls got to learn about dog mushing from a teenage Junior Iditarod runner and pet her dogs, made jelly and fried bread, learn about the constellations in a really cool way and use a robotic arm, and try their hand at baton twirling and cheer leading! Speaking of the cheerleading, my daughter is not a girly girl and was not happy that they had BOTH baton twirling and cheerleading on their event schedule. The cheerleading was last and due to several days lack of sleep, and her unhappiness, she was complaining heavily on the way to cheerleading. I had to explain to her several times that the other girls were excited about the cheerleading and she should give it her best and then she would never have to do it again. Well, like I said, she's no girly girl, but she does like to be loud and she is a ham! (One of the big reasons for the girls' lack of sleep was Ronnie felt she had a "captive audience" in the tent at night so she had to put on a show. She got sillier and sillier to keep everyone laughing!) At the cheer leading event, she got to be loud and get on stage to show off the routine she learned, and now she is begging me to sign her up for Cheerleading!

Did you know that The Greeting Farm is having a sketch/color challenge? You can see all of the details HERE. Because of my crazy week I am just now getting mine done, but you do still have until tonight to enter! The color combo is obviously Black/White/Gray. It was a blast to color that way! I did struggle a lot more with the paper selection, though! I used the adorable Skater Ian, words from the Wardrobe #1 set, and the skull and crossbones from Matey. The ribbon is some older ribbon I had from Creative Imaginations and the large skull and crossbones is a Martha Stewart punch. I used a little black diamonds stickles on the star on his shirt and everything is colored with Copics:

C0,C1,C3,C5,C7,C9,110

Thanks and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Shine on the Boardwalk

Hi! I just have a very quick post today to show another very quick card! I liked the scene that these papers created so much and I really couldn't think of anything else to add that wouldn't cover up part of that.

My card today uses Shine from The Greeting Farm's Rain, Snow, Shine set. The DP is DCWV. And that's pretty much it! She is colored with Copics:

Skin: R00,E00,E11,E13,R20
Clothes:YG95,YG97,E25,E27,E29
Hair: E02,E08,E19,E18

Thanks so much for looking!

Sparkly Surfer Ian

Hi! This is one of the other cards I made while I was playing yesterday! Does anyone remember the movie Xanadu? That's what this paper reminds me of. It has to have been at least 25 years since I have seen that movie and if I watched it now it would probably be awful, but I loved it as a "Tween"!

The paper is from DCWV. Because it was so sparkly and light in the background I tried to pretend like the sun was behind Ian (from THe Greeting Farm) and was just catching the back of his head and the tips of his hair. I'm sure if that was really where the sun was, it wouldn't catch the front of his hair the way I colored it, but I like it anyway! The background paper had done most of the "work" for me , so all I did was color Ian with Copics and layer him on it (I did cut a darker strip from a different section of the paper so it would maybe look like a separate "wave" that he was riding). I also just used a piece that was left over to decorate the inside of the card.

Skin:R00,E11,E13,R20,R22
Hair:E40,E43,E47
Clothes:E43,E47,E49,R85,R89
Board:E40,E43,YR04,YR07,YR09

Have a sparkly, wonderful day!

A Fairy Sparkly Card

Hi Everyone! So, I finally couldn't take it anymore and I had to stamp today! I made a few cards so I can auto post while I am camping! I have to say, it was SO much fun to be playing with ink and glitter and coloring again!

I used Tinkerbella from Stamping Bella for the card I am going to show you today. The DP is from We Are Memory Keepers. I used LOTS of stickles (in real life it is easier to read the sentiment through all of that sparkle!) The image is colored with Copics:

Skin: E00,E11,R20
Clothes, Wings & Wand: RV13,RV14,RV17,YR04,YR07,YR09,Y02
Shadows: C0,C1,C3

Thanks for stoppiong by to see me!

A Couple of Knights

Hi Everyone! Sorry I have not been around much lately! Besides getting ready for Faire, my daughter has Girl Scout Encampment coming up this weekend (the troop leader and I will be camping out for 3 nights with our troop and hundreds of other Girl Scouts and their troop leaders!) and I am preparing for that as well! I am so NOT an outdoor girl!

So, just a quick post today. I mostly made these cards a week ago but I didn't feel they were finished so I set them aside. I never could come up with what was missing so I am calling them finished now!

The image is a Sugar Nellie (Luca & Nellie). The DP is GCD Studios. They are colored with Copics:

Skin: R00,E00,E11
Armor: C1,C3,C5
Shield: C7,C9,110 Green:G17,G19,G29 Red: R27,R29,R39
Shading:C0,C1,C3
